The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. But inform your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
